Nos Vinxit Libertas is a regular freemason lodge operating under the Grand East of the Netherlands. It was consecrated in 1887 and has been assigned number 69. The lodge has 50 members and is coming together in Amsterdam every Tuesday except three months in summer (july/august) and one month in the winter (december).

Nos Vinxit Libertas is a craft-lodge, also called blue or Saint-John’s lodge operating in the first, second or third degree, depending on the agenda. The first type of meeting we know the the ceremony in the temple, where the dress code is dress suit, a toxedo or a black suit, complimented with the masonic dresscode. After the ceremony there is festive board. The second type of meetings is a so-called comparition during which a brother delivers a lecture. There is no dress code for this type of meeting. All gatherings start at 8 pm and take place in our lodge building in the center of Amsterdam, Vondelstraat 39. If you are a brother working under an order that is recognized by our grandloge, you are more then welcome to visit us. Please keep in mind the meetings are in Dutch, however many of our member do speak English as well as several other languages. Cerememonial meetings however, will be understood very well because of our common understandig of ritual and symbol.

Nos Vinxit Libertas is a Dutch speaking lodge. We are currently trying to establish an English speaking lodge in Amsterdam. If you are interested in joining this lodge, or if you want some more information please have a look at the new website: http://www.amsterdamlodge.nl
